Crime Control Prevention District

In 1989 the Texas legislature recognized that smaller cities with large metropolitan areas are greatly impacted by "big city" crime hence the Crime control prevention District was born in 2005.

This district is dedicated to crime control and reduction by means of...
A Youth Center: To inadvertently reduce crime the CCPD has recognized uninvolved teens can create havoc to the community. A Youth Center will provide a safe & positive environment to surround our growing communities youth.
A Citizens Police Academy and Crime Watch Program.

A Justice Center that provides additional space for the police department and Municipal Court to keep up with the growth of the city. The new Mike Carpenter Memorial Justice Center Dedication Ceremony took place place on Saturday, March 1, 2008.

This gives the CPD the ability to continue quality service to their public
